Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Principal Network Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex network systems that support our mission-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network System Design and Development: Design and develop network systems that meet the requirements of our mission-critical operations, including satellite ground stations, communication systems, and network infrastructure.
  • System Integration and Testing: Integrate and test network systems to ensure they meet the required specifications and performance standards.
  • Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of network systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and maintenance, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of network system activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: At least 9 years of experience in network system design, development, and maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or technical lead role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and technologies, including satellite communications, RF systems, and network security.
  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certifications in network systems and security.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Military Satellite Communications Experience: Experience in military satellite communications and RF systems.
  • Network Industry Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications in network systems and security, such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership or technical lead role, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
