Position Overview:

The Automation Specialist role within the Convergent Systems Research Department at EIT entails working alongside interdisciplinary teams to address significant challenges in biomedicine. The team is responsible for all phases of engineering design, from initial concept to final validation, including the creation and execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop reusable testing and automation software utilizing programming languages such as Python for engineering design validation
  • Create automation solutions to oversee hardware, testing apparatus, and production systems
  • Design tailored automation systems for biomedical engineering problems using state-of-the-art technologies
  • Prepare documentation in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices and produce comprehensive technical manuals
  • Oversee project timelines, milestones, and system dependability
  • Collaborate with teams to pinpoint automation prospects and inventive solutions
  • Diagnose and resolve automation challenges through thorough root cause analysis
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline
Experience: 1-3 years
Skills: Project management, technical communication, data acquisition, control feedback loop design, numerical analysis, digital and analog interfaces, troubleshooting, debugging, performance enhancement

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree, experience with sensor networks, LabVIEW, configuration management, finite element modeling

Compensation Range: $96,186 - $121,517 annually
