Shop Technician

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for performing skilled tasks in various operational areas, including maintenance, repairs, and equipment upkeep. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring repair items are properly labeled and stored.
- Execute scheduled maintenance, diagnose, and repair equipment based on demonstrated skill level without supervision.
- Clean parts and equipment independently, adhering to company standards and procedures.
- Prepare rental equipment for use and check equipment back in upon return, following established protocols.
- Maintain good housekeeping of the shop and warehouse areas, with a focus on the spray booth and surrounding areas.
- Verify all shop materials and supplies are available and ready before starting assignments.
- Develop the skills necessary to complete tasks successfully without supervision.
- Complete tasks scheduled by the Shop supervisor or assigned lead.
- Backup freight-related tasks, including building crates and assisting with delivery.
- Active driver's license and clean driving record.
- Skilled multi-tradesman with knowledge in general mechanics, carpentry, electrical work, and industry-specific equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Maintain good housekeeping of the shop and warehouse areas.
The Equipment Maintenance Specialist will work in a road travel and warehouse/fabrication environment, with exposure to various weather conditions and physical demands, including:
- High level of sitting while driving, as well as walking, standing, and/or climbing.
- Stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Work outside/inside around machinery with moving parts and vehicles.
- Exposure to all seasons of weather, as well as slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 60lbs.
Some travel may be required for this position.
