We are seeking a Manufacturing Floor Manager for Consumables and Reagents to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing and supply chain processes. This role involves managing the transition from raw materials to finished products while ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards and quality protocols. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning and management of a diverse production team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate multiple manufacturing lines effectively.
  • Ensure production output meets quality standards and deadlines for finished goods.
  • Optimize resource allocation to minimize waste and enhance productivity.
  • Adhere to all safety and maintenance protocols.
  • Oversee the formulation and filling processes for reagents.
  • Conduct daily line clearance for consumable and reagent production lines.
  • Document process results accurately on production travelers.
  • Gather and report process data daily, identifying and addressing production challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions.
  • Assemble component parts using hand and power tools, ensuring precision.
  • Install electrical, mechanical, and electronic components in assemblies using appropriate tools.
  • Interpret basic engineering drawings and technical orders to support process instructions.
  • Train and supervise new employees, developing comprehensive work instructions.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, leading a team of at least 5 technicians.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience in machine shops and additive manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with chemical handling processes.
  • Knowledge of photochemical processes is beneficial.
  • Ability to navigate manufacturing guidelines such as ISO13485, ISO9001, and FDA CFR 820.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, production-driven, and regulated environment.
  • Willingness to wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a proactive approach in a team-oriented setting.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer, as well as stand and move between production stations to assist technicians and manage workflow.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
