Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerk II to join our team at the University of Iowa Health Care department of Safety and Security. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the visitor management process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize Epic and other software applications to manage visitor information and ensure compliance with UI Health Care policies and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with scheduling, tracking compliance, and attendance, as well as providing real-time feedback to Safety Ambassadors and informing Hospital Security Officer Supervisors of ongoing performance issues.
  • Check in visitors, assist with wayfinding, and de-escalate situations as needed.
Requirements
  • Any combination of related clerical office experience, undergraduate education, and/or post-high school clerical training that is the equivalent of one year of full-time employment.
  • Experience using Epic is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of UI Health Care policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including MS Office products.
