About the Opportunity
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the Director of the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology. As a key member of the Department of Internal Medicine, the successful candidate will lead the division in achieving its tripartite mission of clinical care, research, and education.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for the division, aligning with the department's and college's goals.
- Provide leadership and oversight for the division's clinical, research, and educational programs.
- Collaborate with other departments and institutions to enhance multidisciplinary approaches and initiatives.
- Recruit and mentor faculty and staff to ensure the division's continued growth and success.
- Manage the division's budget and resources effectively.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
Requirements
- MD, DO, MD/PhD, or commensurate degree.
- Board certification in Rheumatology or Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology.
- Unrestricted Ohio Medical License.
- At least 10 years of clinical experience, with demonstrated leadership and management experience at a medical facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA and/or strong business acumen.
- Previous success in building and leading a large, interdisciplinary team.
- Experience with communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision making.
