Research Scientist, Division of Hematology

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified researcher to join our faculty in the Division of Hematology and Oncology. As a leading institution in the field of cancer research, we are committed to advancing our understanding of the disease and developing innovative treatments.
Research FocusWe are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in head and neck cancers, gastrointestinal cancers, and leukemia. Our research team is focused on identifying novel therapeutic targets and mechanisms of drug resistance, as well as outcomes and disparities research.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will lead a cancer research team and be responsible for planning research programs, designing and interpreting experiments, training and mentoring trainees, and seeking extramural funding. The research team may include research associates, undergraduate or graduate students, and/or post-doctoral fellows.
RequirementsA PhD and/or MD degree is required, as well as post-doctoral experience with a record of funding and a scholarly record to support and maintain an independent research program. Applicants with interest in associate or full professor faculty rank require evidence of peer-reviewed funding.
