Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at UW Health University Hospital in Madison, WI. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in planning and delivering patient care in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with a team to plan and coordinate patient care in the operating room
  • Communicate and coordinate operating room activities to ensure efficient surgical case progression and turnover
  • Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures, and standards of care
Requirements:
  • Must have experience in eyes, including Victrectomies/open globes, Free Flaps, DIEP flaps, acoustics, Plastics, and micro
  • Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years
  • Must have experience in an Academic Level - Trauma center or similar size hospital
  • Must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state
  • Must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY

Benefits:
  • 36 hours per week, Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, with one day a week possibly weekend shifts
  • Weekday and weekend call responsibilities, possible holiday call responsibilities
  • Must be currently active and have a minimum of 2 years of experience
