Job Title: WI - RN Operating Room - Eyes, ENT, Plastic

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at UW Health University Hospital in Madison, WI. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in the operating room.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have experience in eyes, ENT, and plastics, with a strong focus on patient safety and efficient surgical case progression. You will work closely with our team to implement safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to plan for patient care in the operating room in a timely manner.
  • Communicate and coordinate operating room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical case progression and turnover between cases.
  • Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures, and standards of care plan to the perioperative patient's level of complexity.
Requirements:
  • Must have experience in eyes, ENT, and plastics, including victrectomies, open globes, free flaps, DIEP flaps, acoustics, and micro procedures.
  • Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
  • Must have experience in an academic-level trauma center or similar-sized hospital.
  • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
  • Must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Benefits:
  • 36 hours per week, day/evening shifts, 12-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, with one day a week possibly weekend call responsibilities.
