Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing menu items according to our recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare menu items according to SMG recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Assure that all food procedures are followed, including food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Coordinate food service with other departments, such as front-of-house staff and management
  • Prepare kitchen and food preparation for shifts as needed, including inventory management and ordering supplies
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workstations
  • Become familiar with new menu items and dishes, and provide feedback to management on menu suggestions and improvements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required
  • Experience with quantity food preparation preferred
  • Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
  • Must have a Food Service Sanitation Certificate
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 6 to 9 hours at a time
  • Ability to speak and read English fluently
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
