Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly and courteously to residents' requests, ensuring their needs are met and providing a positive dining experience in accordance with our respect policy.
Handle all food items and utensils in compliance with agency standards and health regulations, including the sanitization of dining service ware, trays, and carts.
Maintain cleanliness in all work and storage areas, ensuring they are organized and sanitary.
Oversee proper waste management and maintain sanitary waste receptacles, dumpster areas, and departmental trash bins.
Conduct sweeping and mopping of workspaces and dining areas.
Perform dishwashing duties and clean pots, pans, trays, and all kitchen dishware.
Set up and dismantle hot and cold serving stations before and after each meal.
Ensure that all food utensils are available for each meal service.
Maintain cleanliness in all service areas, including hot, cold, beverage, and dishwashing stations.
Assist cooks in the preparation and serving of meals and desserts.
Safeguard all dietary items and prevent loss from staff, residents, and the public.
Adhere to food safety protocols when storing and disposing of leftover food.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Follow all safety regulations for yourself, residents, and staff, wearing appropriate and safe attire for the position.
Perform any additional duties necessary for the smooth operation of the programs.
Qualifications:
Education / Experience:
Prior experience in high-volume food service is preferred.
Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
Work Environment:
This position requires a commitment of 16 hours per week.
