Job Title: Director, Nutrition and Food Services

At Roswell Park Cancer Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Nutrition and Food Services to lead our team in providing exceptional patient care and services.

Job Summary:

The Director, Nutrition and Food Services will be responsible for managing all aspects of food service operations, including patient meals and cafeteria services. This role will oversee the coordination and delegation of job duties and responsibilities to nutrition and cafeteria staff, ensuring that all food services are prepared in a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage food service operations, including patient meals and cafeteria services
  • Coordinate and delegate job duties and responsibilities to nutrition and cafeteria staff
  • Ensure all food services are prepared in a clean and safe environment
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide patient-centered care
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Management, Business Management, or a related field
  • Equivalent of two years of prior full-time experience as a Nutritional Services provider, including 18 months of experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial, or executive capacity
  • Service Safety or HACCP certification
Preferred Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with experience in:

  • Managing food service operations in an acute care hospital
  • Retail and catering food service management
  • Managing a room service model for patient feeding
  • Using food service software to manage operations
  • Procurement/GPO/RFP experience
  • Cash handling/POS oversight experience
  • TJC/CMS/DOH survey lead experience
  • Managing clinical nutrition services
