Position Overview

This role at Cascade Environmental Services involves engaging in outdoor environmental labor, primarily focused on remediation projects.

KEY INFORMATION -

  • We provide competitive compensation and benefits – Starting pay of $20.00 per hour with no prior experience necessary; $22.00 per hour for candidates holding a CDL. Additional benefits include 2 weeks of paid vacation, 7 paid holidays, and a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave. Opportunities for overtime are available, alongside project-based bonuses and performance-related pay increases. A referral bonus of $2,000 is also offered, along with reimbursement for CDL training expenses and subsequent pay raises upon obtaining a CDL.
  • The role includes travel opportunities – Employees based in Santa Ana can expect to travel approximately 60% of the time, typically returning home each night. Travel is generally within the Bay Area/Silicon Valley region, with projects scheduled Monday through Friday, occasionally requiring weekend or night shifts. Workdays may extend to 10-12 hours, and weekend travel may be necessary. Traveling employees will receive private hotel accommodations at no cost and per diem allowances.
  • We emphasize professional development – Employees will participate in a comprehensive CORE Safety Training Program, with all necessary safety equipment provided.   • Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening, as well as maintaining a clean driving record, in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • While prior experience with Geoprobe, drilling, injection equipment, or other environmental remediation technologies is advantageous, it is not a requirement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES -

  • Operate and maintain Cascade's drilling rigs, vehicles, forklifts, skid-steers, and other equipment.
  • Work outdoors year-round as part of a small crew.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team to solve problems and enhance productivity.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and conduct minor repairs as needed.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations.
  • Perform physical tasks, including shoveling drilling debris and transporting materials using proper lifting techniques.
  • Keep all required certifications and training up to date.
  • Safely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Complete additional duties and projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS -

  • Successful completion of a drug test.
  • Satisfactory results from a background check, with authorization for routine checks; offenses will be evaluated individually.
  • A valid Driver's License for the state of residence and satisfactory results from a Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Obtaining and maintaining an interstate DOT Medical Card, meeting all Federal Interstate FMCSA requirements for operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle.
  • Passing a HAZWOPER physical examination.
  • Verification of legal eligibility to work in the United States under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).
