Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Food Technician to join our team. As a Food Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality and Food Safety: Maintain a thorough understanding of quality and food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Daily Floor Verifications: Conduct daily floor verifications to ensure raw material lot codes, metal detector, and label accuracy.
  • Test Bakes and Product Review: Complete test bakes and final product reviews to assess product food safety and quality, ensuring specifications are met.
  • Environmental Swabbing: Perform monthly environmental swabbing on equipment and floor to maintain sanitation standards.
  • Plant Operations Monitoring: Monitor plant operations to ensure sanitary conditions in manufacturing, storing, and distributing procedures follow regulatory and pre-requisite programs.
  • Food Safety Audits: Conduct monthly food safety audits to ensure compliance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Equipment Calibration: Perform equipment calibration (scales, thermometers) as required.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing or quality control.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of quality and food safety protocols, excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
