Position Overview:
We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable Water Treatment Technician to become a vital part of our team in the Engineering sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of our water treatment systems. This is a permanent, full-time position.
The perfect candidate will have extensive experience with water systems, a meticulous approach to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of water quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Water Treatment Technician, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Operating and maintaining water treatment machinery, ensuring optimal performance at all times.
- Conducting routine inspections and analyses of water samples to detect any potential issues or contaminants.
- Interpreting analytical results and making necessary adjustments to treatment protocols to meet water quality standards.
- Troubleshooting and repairing any issues within the water treatment systems.
- Implementing preventive maintenance schedules for all water treatment equipment.
- Adhering to all safety and environmental regulations associated with water treatment.
- Documenting all tasks performed, including any identified issues and corrective actions taken.
- Staying informed about advancements in water treatment technologies and methodologies.
- Providing training and support to other team members regarding water treatment processes.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure the overall efficiency of water treatment operations.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role within the Engineering sector.
- A degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Demonstrated experience with water systems, including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in using software and systems related to water treatment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
- Physical fitness, able to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
- A dedication to ongoing learning and professional growth in the field of water treatment.
