This role is integral to Novanta's Corporate and Shared Services global teams. These teams are vital in executing the strategic mission and operational objectives of the company. Corporate and Shared Services encompass essential business functions such as Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Compliance, Corporate Development, and Corporate Marketing. Our teams collaborate closely with all Novanta business units to support initiatives that contribute to the organization's financial success.

Position Overview

In this role, you will oversee the complete recruitment process for diverse positions, including G&A (Corporate and Shared Services), Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, Sales, Product Management, and Manufacturing operations across various Novanta divisions. Your responsibilities will include sourcing candidates through multiple channels, orchestrating interview and selection processes, guiding hiring managers on recruitment best practices, and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience. You will also develop long-term recruitment strategies and cultivate trusting relationships with hiring managers and Novanta leaders, focusing on building robust talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a Senior Talent Advisor to various business segments within Novanta. Collaborate with the broader HR team and hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle to create effective and scalable recruitment strategies that align with Novanta's ongoing success. Leverage talent insights (landscape and mapping information) to formulate strong recruitment strategies. Attract and recruit qualified candidates through the full-cycle recruiting process across multiple sites and regions. Identify potential candidates via online channels (e.g., social media and professional networks) and promote Novanta as a premier employer. Evaluate candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System, and provide timely, qualified resumes to hiring teams. Lead employer branding initiatives as part of Novanta's overall strategy. Establish meaningful metrics for hiring and continuously enhance your results. Manage various global talent acquisition projects. Offer mentorship and coaching to team members as needed.

General Duties

Ensure compliance with quality, occupational safety, and environmental regulations. Follow the directives of the quality/environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.

Required Qualifications, Education, Skills, and Competencies

Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, or a technical field. Over 10 years of direct HR recruiting experience, with at least 5 years in-house, corporate experience. International recruiting experience (UK, Germany, Spain, and/or Czech Republic) is highly desirable. Proven experience in filling both technical and non-technical positions across various levels within an organization. Expert-level sourcing skills and the ability to establish solid pipelines for future growth. Significant experience in building diverse candidate pipelines for underrepresented groups in the market. Proficient in using market data to influence recruiting strategies with hiring managers. Experience in talent attraction, employer branding, and strong networking capabilities. Familiarity with metrics-driven results and a continuous improvement mindset. Strong proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday preferred), LinkedIn Recruiter, MS Office, and HRIS systems. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, effectively solve problems, and adapt to changing priorities without compromising quality.

Mobility to work in a standard office environment and utilize standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to see to read computer screens and printed materials.
