Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Systems Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As an Electronics Systems Technician, you will be responsible for performing system commissioning, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Commissioning: Load system-level controller software, perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics, and complete all required commissioning documentation.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems.
  • Communication and Documentation: Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues, complete administrative tasks, and document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training, ensuring a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Vocational School four-year program graduate, an Associate degree in a technical field, or two years' experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment, effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites, and the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
  • Software and Knowledge: Possesses the ability to use control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems, as well as demonstrated effective writing skills and an understanding of programs and software applications.
