About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Rinker Materials in Rapid City, SD. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problems to resolve issues promptly.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, switches, and valves, as needed.
  • Fabricate parts or components as required to support equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage and high voltage electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and ensure efficient operations, providing excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving maintenance issues in a timely manner.
  • Work at heights using a manlift, climb ladders, and utilize safety harnesses as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing plant, with a strong understanding of large machine operation and construction of infrastructure.
  • Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, and electronics, with the ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions and listen effectively to understand points made by others.
  • General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and database systems, with the ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions, and equipment manuals.
  • Diagnostic problem-solving techniques, detail orientation, mathematical skills, and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems.
  • A valid driver's license and a strong work ethic, with a demonstrated pattern of positive attitude and dedication.
