Position Overview

The University of Nebraska System is seeking to fill three positions for a Financial Analyst. This role is integral to the Procure-to-Pay Payment Services team, focusing on managing financial transactions related to vendors, employee travel, and reimbursements, including specialized payment processes. The Financial Analyst will oversee the distribution of corporate credit cards and conduct audits of card expenditures. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining supplier master records and ensuring effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure adherence to State and University regulations while evaluating, reviewing, and auditing various financial transactions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to support all operational functions.
- Successfully complete Pre-Audit Authorization through the State of Nebraska Department of Accounting Services.

Work Environment

This position can be based at any of the University’s campuses.

Minimum Qualifications

- A minimum of four years of experience in executing standard and specialized accounting transactions.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with SAP business applications and Ariba for Procure-to-Pay processes.
- Previous work experience within the University of Nebraska.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a strong aptitude for numerical analysis and data entry. They should be a dynamic problem solver, capable of working independently while knowing when to seek guidance. The ability to interpret policies and apply them to diverse situations is essential, along with a willingness to learn new skills and technologies.

A criminal history background check is required for this position.

Salary Information

The minimum salary for this position is $51,300 per year.
