About the Role:

We are looking for an Engineering Manager for a key office location. The ideal candidate will possess a background in mechanical, electrical, or energy engineering. In this role, you will focus on three primary areas: 1) Managerial leadership, 2) Technical guidance, and 3) Business development. Projects will center around innovative clean energy and decarbonization initiatives. Your objectives will include recruiting and expanding the mechanical, electrical, and energy engineering capabilities in the region.

You will be integrated into a team that has provided energy efficiency services for over three decades, alongside an Engineering and Architecture team equipped with all necessary technical disciplines in-house. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a team of talented and enthusiastic engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with program and department managers, design and project teams, and construction managers.
  • Drive business development for clean energy projects within the geographic area.
  • Recruit and facilitate the growth of a mechanical, electrical, and energy engineering team.
  • Mentor the regional clean energy engineering team.
  • Conduct preliminary systems assessments and develop high-level project strategies.
  • Perform field investigations and condition assessments of existing systems, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and energy systems.
  • Assist in project and proposal preparation.
  • Develop scopes of work, schematics, and P&ID drawings.
  • Create implementation plans and schedules.
  • Prepare presentations and reports.
  • Engage with clients to support engineering projects throughout the design and construction phases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering.
  • PE license is preferred.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or other relevant industry certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Expertise in various technical areas of Mechanical, Electrical, and Energy Engineering.
  • Accountable for QA/QC on assigned tasks and projects.
  • Ability to lead the development of construction documents and support bidding and construction activities during implementation.
  • Experience in developing MEP and energy projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal staff and clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit software is a plus.
  • Experience with building modeling software is a plus.
