Security Engineer

We seek seasoned engineers to oversee engineering initiatives across various security classifications for a government program office.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
- Utilizes engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapon systems.
- Prepares and reviews engineering analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Employs engineering expertise to conduct functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, and resource management.
- Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapon systems and associated support systems.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a related Engineering or Science field.
- Experience:
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives throughout all phases of product development.
- Extensive technical knowledge in an Engineering discipline.
- Adept at working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple security levels.
- Experience with Department of Defense Acquisition Programs.
- Providing systems engineering and acquisition support to government leadership.
- Collecting, organizing, and interpreting technical data related to weapon system acquisition projects.
- Engaging with programs to evaluate performance against plans and identify technical risks.
- Monitoring program/project status and timelines.
- Conducting project status analysis and producing high-quality technical reports and presentations.
- Communicating effectively with government team counterparts.
- Clearance Requirement:
- Possession of an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
