Job Summary:The Nurse Technician is a student enrolled in a Registered Nurse program at an accredited school and has completed at least one academic term, which included a clinical component. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care applying current health concepts and performing routine duties to the level of academic competence accomplished in the individual's educational program(s) under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care applying current health concepts and performing routine duties to the level of academic competence accomplished in the individual's educational program(s)
- Contribute to the assigned unit nursing team, functioning as a member of the unit
- Remain abreast of current trends/information in nursing and applies this knowledge/information to practice
- Attend required unit meetings/classes
- Apply knowledge, judgment, and skills as based upon the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral, and sociological sciences
- Currently enrolled as a student in accredited school preparing persons to practice as a Registered Nurse and completed at least one academic term which included a clinical component
- Current Nursing Technician Registered credential
- Documentation of current clinical competencies from completed Nursing School course work
- Current BLS certification
