Responsibilities:
Role:
Surgical Technicians provide critical support to medical practitioners in the operating room, ensuring safe and effective completion of invasive procedures. Under the guidance of surgeons, nurses, or other designated personnel, they perform intra-operative duties within the scope of licensure to maintain a safe environment and ensure equipment functions properly.

Job Requirements:
Graduation from a surgical technology program accredited by the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology (ARC-ST) is required. A minimum of six months of experience in a Cardiac Operating Room is preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing may be substituted for graduation from an accredited surgical technician program. Additionally, registration with the State of Washington and NCCT certification are required for Surgical Technicians.
