Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician

DispatchHealth is seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our clinical team in Tacoma, WA. As an EMT, you will work directly with our Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants in our CLIA certified mobile laboratory, providing daily patient care and gaining valuable experience in mobile healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work under the supervision of licensed NP/PA providers
  • Patient assessment and monitoring, vital signs
  • IV starts and blood draws (as permitted by state law)
  • Splint application and wound care
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain point of care laboratory equipment
  • Perform EKGs
  • Assist NP/PAs in daily functions of a mobile care delivery emergency unit
  • Patient documentation
  • Supply and stocking of vehicle before and after shift
Requirements:
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • BLS, American Heart Association
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily
