Job Summary:

The Ride Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe and enjoyable experience of guests on the zipline attraction. This involves assisting guests with harnesses, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of safety and efficiency in the ride cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safety and harnessing of all guests on the zipline, including inspection and adjustments as needed.
  • Load trolleys onto the zipline cables safely and make proper attachments to prepare for guest's flight.
  • Connect guests to the zipline, double-checking trolley and harness connections for maximum safety.
  • Display critical safety instructions to every guest and ensure they understand the ride experience.
  • Double-check operational partner's loaded zipline riders for safe connection and enable guest dispatch from control panels.
  • Reset automatic controls after guests have safely launched and landed.
  • Continuously work to improve ride cycle times, reducing wait times for all guests.
  • Perform morning operational checks, including loading fellow ride operators onto the zipline and dispatching for pre-opening checks.
  • Clean all platforms, staircases, and handrails daily and secure decks and platforms for closing hours.
  • Ensure the safety of all guests, team members, and other employees at all times.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma with two or more years' experience in a customer-facing position.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a friendly, courteous manner with guests, other employees, management, and the general public.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold environments for long periods of time and be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and stoop for extended periods and work in a loud noise environment.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and reach a height of 6'8.
  • Must wear designated uniform as described by the attraction.
