Job Title: Registered Dietitian

Presbyterian Homes and Services is seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team. As a Registered Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical nutritional care and programs for residents of our communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement established nutritional care programs, including assessment, planning, implementation, documentation, evaluation, and education.
  • Monitor the nutritional components of medical records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Attend resident care conferences and contribute nutritional care information and care plans.
  • Conduct patient education with patients and families as needed.
  • Plan and approve menus, and oversee their implementation.
  • Implement specialized and modified diets as ordered by physicians, and maintain a system to ensure accuracy of diet orders and implementation.
  • Oversee meal preparation and service as designated on site.
  • Assist the nutrition and culinary department in coordinating recipe development and standardization/development of menus.
  • Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition.
  • License or certification as mandated by the state in which employed.
  • Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or Registry Eligible.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for long-term care facilities and food service industry.
  • Experience working in long-term care and/or transitional care preferred.
