Job Title: Community Outreach Coordinator
Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year
The Community Assistance Network is seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team. As a Weekend Resident Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and success of our residents.
About the Role:
- Welcoming guests and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.
- Ensuring and supervising residents in completing their assigned chores, attending classes, meetings, appointments, and/or other required services.
- Contributing to maintaining a clean shelter environment by stocking the lavatories, stripping beds upon clients exiting, and preparing totes and beds for new resident intakes.
- Monitoring and supervising the residents, including the resident's rooms, lobby, dining room, shelter trailer, patio, and shelter grounds.
- Completing Staff Shift Check List and records shift documentation onto the Staff Logbook prior to end of work shift.
- Completing daily intake of clients.
- Making referrals for clients in crisis.
Requirements:
- AA Degree in Human Services or Social Work or related field preferred. Two years human service experience may be substituted for college degree.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate and implement programs as related.
- Knowledge of community services.
- Effective listening, professionalism, effective communication skills verbally & non-verbally, customer client-focus, informing others, handles pressure, phone skills, and supply management.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and transportation.
- Strong initiative with ability to self-manage.
- Weekend Saturday & Sunday 7a-7p.
