Kentucky Medication Aide

Cedarhurst of Beaumont is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Aide to join our team. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of our residents by providing direct care services, including medication distribution and resident evaluations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct resident care services, including medication distribution and resident evaluations.
- Observe residents for changes in condition and report any changes to the supervisor and/or Executive Director.
- Assist with completing and maintaining current individualized care plans for each resident.
- Provide timely interventions to address changes in resident condition and share information with care staff and family as instructed.
- Check and record vital signs, weights, and blood sugars as assigned.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, oral care, toileting, dressing, and ambulation.
- Participate in the oversight and management of the medication delivery system, including timely order entry, receipt, and tracking, as well as daily MAR documentation and narcotic counts.
- High School Diploma or GED and current state certification for the corresponding role (Certified Medication Technician, Qualified Medication Aide, Certified Medication Aide, Level 1 Med Aide, or insulin-certified Level 1 Med Aide).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
- At least one year of related work experience is preferred, preferably in senior care, and a general knowledge of laws and restrictions regarding Assisted Living care.
- Ability to work well with others, take direction from management, and take initiative to ensure resident needs are met.
- Must remain flexible and have the ability to work weekends as necessary.
