Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician at the University of Kentucky, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists with medicine preparation and distribution in a busy retail pharmacy setting. Your primary responsibilities will include filling prescriptions, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
• Fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and medication dispensing
• Provide excellent customer service to patients

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (KBOP) within 30 days of new hire
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of previous work experience in a related field
• Previous pharmacy technician experience or work/classes in a medical field
• General chemistry knowledge and basic algebra skills
