Medical Laboratory Technician

University of Kentucky is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team in the Clinical Laboratory. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the pre-analytical support for our fast-paced academic medical center.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the receipt, processing, and throughput of patient specimens while adhering to HIPAA requirements.
- Provide general laboratory support to all other clinical laboratories within the Enterprise.
- Offer exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- AS degree or equivalent.
- No experience required, but previous healthcare experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
This position is located in a department that operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. The position will have a primary shift to be determined by the department, but the candidate must be available to work rotating weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed.
