About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Recertification Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our compliance and leasing team, you will be responsible for performing core responsibilities to meet company objectives. Your duties will include:

  • Leasing and Processing Applications: You will be responsible for leasing and processing applications following on-site client policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with Move-Ins/Move-Outs: You will assist with move-ins and move-outs, ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
  • Recertification Process: You will complete annual and interim recertifications, including scheduling and administering resident interviews, coordinating on-site data collections and processing of resident information, and ensuring proper calculation of income, assets, rent levels, etc.
  • Rehabilitation, Brand New Lease-Ups, and Re-Syndication Processes: You will assist with rehabilitation, brand new lease-ups, and re-syndication processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Assisting Management: You will assist management in preparing for state audits and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Requirements:

  • Impeccable Customer Service Skills: You must have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills: You must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, documents, and presentations as needed.
  • Recertification Experience: You must have a minimum of three (3) years of recertification experience, with a preference for professional certification(s) such as Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), or any of the industry HUD and LIHTC designations required.
  • Multi-Tasking and Attention to Detail: You must be able to multi-task within time constraints and have excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical Skills: You must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Property Management Software, and Internet literate.
  • Knowledge of HUD and LIHTC Programs: You must have a full understanding of the requirements for HUD and LIHTC programs, including Section 8, Public Housing, and Tax Credit experience.

Workplace Requirements:

  • Travel Requirements: This role will require travel up to 100% to assigned worksites with clients, which could be located anywhere in the United States. This is not a remote-work position.
  • Work Schedule: Monday-through-Friday is the primary work schedule, but evenings and/or weekends may be required on a regular basis and may not be fully known in advance.
