Terracon, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking an experienced A/E/C Senior Recruiter to join our National Talent Acquisition team. As a key member of our team, you will partner with Operations to fill priority positions, consult with office leaders on recruiting best practices, and develop strategies to source exceptional talent.

As a seasoned recruiter, you will provide full life-cycle recruiting functions, including intake meetings, creating and implementing recruiting strategies, sourcing, screening, and presenting candidates. You will also help managers develop and extend successful offers, while collaborating with other team members on HR projects and initiatives.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Conducts full life-cycle staffing/recruiting companywide or on assigned portfolio of positions companywide
  • Develops and implements recruiting strategies designed to identify qualified applicants, and evaluates applicant strengths compared to position description and competencies
  • Provides offer strategy and assists in offer negotiations
  • Develops and directs interview coordination activities for mid to senior level positions
  • Develops advertising campaigns and programs
  • Searches for and identifies candidates for highly specialized and difficult-to-attract positions utilizing creative recruiting methods and tools
  • May assist in vendor selection
  • Partners and advises Hiring Managers on overall hiring process including offer strategy and negotiations
  • Collaborates with operations hiring teams on job requisition details and creation
  • Establishes credibility as Recruitment subject matter expert (SME) Mentoring and guiding hiring managers to help with process efficiency
  • Reviews job descriptions to ensure proper advertisement format for internet job postings and niche sites
  • Effectively screens and interviews candidates to assess skill and cultural fit
  • Maintains knowledge of company A/E/C industry, related industry, business supported, and market demographics
  • Ensures positive candidate experience is met through interview and hiring process
  • Leads and/or directs others in ensuring positive candidate experience
  • Consistently updates applicant tracking system and hiring managers in a timely manner
  • Ensures regulatory and company policy compliance
  • Participates, and leads recruiting process improvement efforts as necessary
  • Develops, leads, and participates in training and dissemination of industry best practices to hiring managers and team
  • Follows safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participates in pre-task planning. Reports any safety issues or concerns to management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and 10 years of professional staffing and recruiting experience in engineering consulting firm or related corporate environment. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14 years' related experience
  • Expertise in multiple creative sourcing techniques for active and passive applicants
  • Experience with applicant tracking system required (Brass Ring preferred)
  • Familiarity with social networking (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and related)
  • Experienced in developing and executing recruiting assignments for complex, hard-to-fill positions
  • Ability and experience in marketing and conveying a company's goals to potential candidates
  • Ability to manage multiple priority requisitions
  • Possesses strong written and oral skills for verbal communication
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history
Preferred Certification:
  • CIR (Certified Internet Researcher), LinkedIn Certified Recruiter or related
