About Progressive Pain & Rehabilitation: We are a newly established, privately owned pain management clinic dedicated to serving the surrounding communities. Our highly regarded physician, Dr. Edward A Nash, has over 15 years of experience in pain management and has received numerous accolades for his exceptional care. Our goal is to expand our presence and be recognized as a leading provider in our field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming calls and accurately enter patient registration details, including demographics, insurance information, and clinical data into the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries following established protocols for scheduling, ensuring a high level of customer service and directing unresolved issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Employ professional telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and hospital staff.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including Patient Access Services and Utilization Review, to address any issues or additional information required for authorizations, referrals, or pre-certifications.
  • Conduct insurance eligibility verifications for patients scheduled for appointments and collaborate with the billing manager to ensure financial criteria are fulfilled.
  • Process incoming referrals and proactively contact patients to arrange appointments for surgical procedures or in-office visits.
  • Collect medical records to obtain prior authorizations for procedures prior to patient appointments.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of medical terminology is essential.
  • Experience in scheduling surgical procedures is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a medical office environment is required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are highly valued.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills is necessary.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Additional medical certifications will be considered advantageous.
