Position Overview:
The Section of Vascular Medicine within the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine is actively seeking to recruit a Staff Physician for a remarkable opportunity.

As one of the largest and oldest vascular medicine departments in the United States, we proudly employ 16 staff physicians and 4 advanced practice providers, managing approximately 15,000 outpatient visits each year across multiple locations.

Our section also handles around 1800 hospital consultations annually.

We oversee the acute Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) and operate a comprehensive non-invasive vascular laboratory, conducting around 55,000 studies each year. The ideal candidate will be trained and certified in vascular medicine, with a preference for additional certification in cardiology, enabling them to provide exceptional care in outpatient settings, hospital consultations, and non-invasive vascular laboratory assessments.

A key priority for the selected candidate will be to actively contribute to the vibrant academic mission of the Section of Vascular Medicine.
Our team possesses specialized expertise in various areas including thrombosis, fibromuscular dysplasia, aneurysmal disease, vein disorders, lymphedema, and platelet dysfunction.

We offer a well-established vascular medicine fellowship with 4 fellows annually, a developing thrombosis fellowship with one fellow, and a robust research program supported by federal and foundation grants.
