Interventional Radiology Specialist

Cleveland Clinic is seeking highly skilled and Board Eligible/Certified Interventional Radiology professionals to enhance our esteemed faculty as we expand our clinical services.
This role necessitates formal fellowship training in Interventional Radiology. Cleveland Clinic, a globally recognized mid-western subspecialty medical institution, features a main hospital with over 1400 beds, multiple outpatient care facilities, and a dedicated research institute.
Our Interventional Radiology practice is integrated with eight additional community hospitals, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care.
The Interventional Section has a longstanding reputation for delivering exceptional care for patients with a variety of conditions, including Vascular, Hepatobiliary, Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary, and Oncologic diseases.
We are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and interventional technology, featuring six angiography labs at our main campus and additional facilities at our affiliated community hospitals, along with an active MRA/CTA program.
Our clinic is dedicated to Interventional Radiology, complemented by specialized multidisciplinary clinics focusing on liver tumors, vascular malformations, and IVC filters. We manage an outpatient clinic that schedules 5-10 patients daily, supported by a proficient team of 15 IR Advanced Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants and 3 Radiologist Assistants. Our annual procedural volume exceeds 10,000 at the main campus and over 5,000 at community hospitals.
We perform a broad range of organ-specific, access-related, and transplant-related vascular interventions, including diagnostic cholangiography, transhepatic biliary drainage, cholangioscopy, TIPS creation, and recanalization of portal vein thrombosis.
Our active transcatheter therapeutic program encompasses uterine fibroid and prostate artery embolization, hepatic chemoembolization, and radioembolization, as well as vascular malformation embolization, sclerosis, and ablation.
We routinely conduct pulmonary artery angioplasty and thrombectomy for both acute and chronic pulmonary thromboemboli, alongside dialysis access interventions. The section also engages in ablative procedures for spine, renal, hepatic, and soft-tissue tumors. We actively participate in multidisciplinary conferences and interventions related to spine and pelvic pain.
We offer 2 ACGME approved Integrated IR Residency positions and 4 Independent IR Residency positions annually, emphasizing resident education.
Ideal candidates should possess comprehensive training in all facets of vascular and interventional radiology procedures, along with a commitment to resident education. Experience with pediatric procedures and research interests are advantageous.
Our section benefits from a fully staffed and professionally managed radiology research group that coordinates and supports clinical research and trials, establishing us as a center of excellence for liver tumor research.
We maintain an interventional radiology basic research lab, staffed by a full-time research associate with expertise in cell and molecular biology, focusing on liver cirrhosis, HCC, and pancreatic cancer.
Cleveland Clinic Health System encompasses 10 community hospitals and 18 outpatient care facilities, providing a robust referral base to our section.
