Key ResponsibilitiesConduct concurrent core measure chart reviews and retrospective in-depth analyses of medical records to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement National Patient Safety Goals and other patient safety programs to promote a culture of safety.
Provide data support for performance improvement, accreditation, and regulatory projects, including nursing dashboard analysis.
Lead or facilitate Core Measure PI Teams and serve as a resource for hospital-wide Core Measure program.
Report core measure data to Medical Staff Department meetings.
Conduct clinical reviews using critical thinking skills, approved criteria, and clinical knowledge to identify opportunities for excellence in patient care.
Graduation from an accredited two-year college required; preferred graduation from an accredited four-year college.
Hospital nursing experience - minimum 3 years; preferred five or more years in an acute care facility.
Preferred experience in hospital Quality/Risk Management Department.
Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook); preferred advanced Excel skills.
RN with current licensure with the Texas Board of Nursing.
