Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team at FS-Curtis. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and repair services to our customers, ensuring their satisfaction and the integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute airend rebuilds with precision and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot, overhaul, repair, and test compressors, blowers, vacuum pumps, and other industrial products
  • Balance rotor assemblies to exact specifications
  • Perform mechanical work on compressors, related products, building equipment, and equipment
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and technical services in person or over the phone
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment
  • Maintain a high level of quality control
  • Ensure all service equipment and tools are in good working order, clean, and properly repaired
  • Prepare and provide various reports as directed, including maintaining accurate records on airend rebuild, equipment, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Complete customer work order forms and other job-related paperwork timely and accurately
  • Train and assist other Service Technicians
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop
  • Optimize sales potential with customers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Must be friendly, courteous, service-oriented, flexible, and enjoy working with a variety of staff
  • Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines
  • Must have a firm commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Strong communications skills, including the ability to listen attentively and communicate information clearly and effectively

  • Strong understanding of how to create highly satisfied customers
  • Ability to follow established policies and procedures with a safety-first attitude
  • Good reading, comprehension, technical aptitude, analytical skills, and basic computer knowledge
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and process analysis skills
  • Good judgment skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Good hand-eye coordination, excellent manual dexterity, able to work with small, detailed objects
  • Experience using mechanic tools, basic hand tools, pipe installation tools, and equipment maintenance knowledge
  • Proficient in using measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators; understanding of clearances and tolerances
  • Knowledge of air compressor or other pneumatic mechanical equipment preferred
  • Basic electrical knowledge preferred
  • Must maintain valid Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC)
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain necessary certifications required to operate equipment as directed by federal, state, and/or local ordinances
  • Willingness to work hours outside of the standard schedule as needed, with appropriate notice when possible
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 software
