Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and track all aspects of project purchases and subcontracted production
  • Communicate schedules to Design Engineering, Project Management, and other team members to ensure timely completion of designs, specifications, production, and procurement
  • Manage supplier performance to ensure quality and on-time completion of all purchased items
  • Direct and lead the procurement of assigned specialty items, including subcontract fabrication, machining, materials, installation contracts, and miscellaneous purchased parts
  • Coordinate logistics for delivery of purchased items from domestic or international suppliers
  • Ensure all project purchases conform to specifications and are obtained in a timely manner
  • Provide detailed procurement status and budget performance to the Project Team on a regular basis
  • Schedule and facilitate Project Procurement Status Meetings to resolve issues and clarify status
Requirements
  • Four-year bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in project administration, procurement, or manufacturing
  • CPM certification by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, project management, and ERP software
