Salary: $35-40/hr DOE

Schedule: Availability required Mondays-Thursdays from approximately 0900 until close.

Role Summary:

Marion Plastic Surgery & Medical Spa is in search of a dedicated and proficient Registered Nurse (RN) to fulfill the role of a PRN PACU Nurse. This position entails delivering outstanding post-anesthesia care to patients who have undergone surgical interventions, ensuring their safety, comfort, and a seamless transition from the operating room to the recovery area.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Administer high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia post-surgery.
  • Closely monitor patients for any post-operative complications and take prompt action as necessary.
  • Evaluate patient conditions, manage pain effectively, and implement suitable interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with the surgical team to guarantee continuity of care and adherence to post-operative care protocols.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient progress and discharge instructions.
  • Follow established protocols, standards, and regulatory guidelines to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
  • Engage in continuous education and training to remain updated with best practices and advancements in PACU nursing.
Qualifications:
  • Valid RN license in the state of Utah.
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in a PACU or critical care environment.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in both hospital and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) settings.
  • Certification in Post-Anesthesia Care Nursing (CPAN) or a related specialty is advantageous.
