Position Summary

Tropic Supply is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Counter Sales team. As the leading independent, family-owned distributor in the HVAC and refrigeration sector in Florida, we prioritize our people. We are eager to welcome a new member to our team who will serve as the first point of contact for our customers.

Our Counter Sales professionals are the friendly experts who assist customers with their inquiries, provide product knowledge, and efficiently prepare their orders for pickup. We are enthusiastic about supporting our customers with skilled and energetic individuals like you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and nurture customer relationships while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external clients.
  • Process customer orders, retrieve items, and manage billing procedures.
  • Address customer warranty claims and handle credit returns effectively.
  • Assist customers in loading products into their vehicles when necessary.
  • Accurately input sales orders into our Sales Order Management System.
  • Organize merchandise, maintain shelf displays, and ensure product availability.
  • Participate in inventory management and stock counts.
Qualifications:

Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in computer operations with the ability to learn our inventory management software.
  • Strong communication skills with the capability to engage professionally with a diverse customer base, both in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to lift and manage items weighing up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, even in high-pressure situations.
