Position Summary

This role presents a distinctive opportunity to tackle a pressing issue faced by our healthcare partners, utilizing a solution they genuinely appreciate. In this capacity, you will take charge of delivering features and products that have a direct impact on our clientele.

As a Product Development Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our CTO and Head of Product to create new offerings and enhance existing ones. You will enjoy considerable autonomy in managing projects, gathering customer feedback, and contributing to our growing product range, which includes smart emergency lights, pressure monitors, and fire extinguishers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Innovate: Design and develop new products, from initial prototyping with Arduino to the mass production of custom PCBs and enclosures.
  • Conduct research and feasibility studies with clients, ensuring their feedback is integral to our development process.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure a seamless customer experience, supporting sales, installation, and success teams.
  • Establish and execute quality assurance procedures to guarantee product reliability.
  • Engage with global manufacturers to create new products, optimize production processes, and enhance existing offerings.
  • Work in tandem with our hardware and firmware teams in India to develop innovative products.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges during development and with customer implementations.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, reports, and training materials.
  • Design and implement machine learning models on edge devices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or a related discipline).
  • Experience in product development and engineering, including circuit design, rapid prototyping, and Arduino programming.
  • Proficiency in Python, with experience in C++, C, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with IoT devices and associated technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong self-learning capability, independence, and initiative.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in developing complex Arduino-based projects.
  • Experience with deploying machine learning on edge devices.
  • Knowledge of data ETL pipelines, data science, and/or data visualization.
  • Experience with CAD, 3-D printing, and fabrication techniques.
