Pharmacy Manager, Back-End

Fortrea is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Manager to oversee the operational functions of our back-end pharmacy operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of our pharmacy, including prescription fulfillment, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all back-end pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, pick/pack/ship, and inventory management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely prescription processing, and maintain high-quality service to patients.
  • Manage the pharmacy workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize errors.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for back-end operations.
Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of medications and supplies.
  • Oversee the ordering, receiving, and storage of medications, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to prevent shortages, overstocking, or discrepancies.
  • Handle controlled substances with strict adherence to regulatory requirements, including documentation and reporting.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that all pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain records of all controlled substances and ensure proper reporting to regulatory authorities.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure adherence to SOPs, regulatory standards, and best practices.
  • Manage and resolve any compliance issues or discrepancies that arise in back-end operations.
Team Leadership:
  • Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy technicians, specialists, and other back-end staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Develop staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all operational hours.
