Key Responsibilities- Operational Management: Oversee all back-end pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, pick/pack/ship, and ensure that all prescriptions are accurately filled, verified, and dispensed in a timely manner.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of medications and supplies, oversee the ordering, receiving, and storage of medications, and conduct regular inventory audits to prevent shortages, overstocking, or discrepancies.
- Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, maintain records of all controlled substances, and conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure adherence to SOPs, regulatory standards, and best practices.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy technicians, specialists, and other back-end staff, conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred) or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent organizational and time management abilities, proficiency in pharmacy management software and technology, in-depth knowledge of pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, and compliance standards.
