- Communication and Reporting: Report any medical concerns or changes in participants' physical, cognitive, or functional status to the primary nurse.
- Transportation and Escort: Escort participants to medical appointments and other scheduled events, ensuring their safe transportation and comfort.
- Housekeeping and Maintenance: Restock supplies, maintain the cleanliness of exam rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and supply closets, and sanitize equipment and surfaces.
- Activities and Therapies: Participate in activities, special projects, and therapeutic one-on-one sessions, as directed by the interdisciplinary team.
- Vital Signs and Transfers: Perform vital signs and transfer participants safely, using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Training and Development: Complete required trainings and attend monthly meetings and trainings, as scheduled.
- Adherence to Policies: Adhere to all policies and procedures, including those related to confidentiality, infection control, and participant rights.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Certification: HHA certification or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience working with the geriatric population, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Skills: Ability to relate well to elders, anticipate their needs, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Computer Skills: Intermediate Microsoft computer skills preferred.
