Insurance Account Manager

A leading agency seeks an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a drive to succeed, and a "can do" attitude. They will be responsible for managing employee benefits programs, including health, life, and disability insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing pre-renewal, renewal, and marketing reports to ensure seamless program execution.
- Comparing health plan benefits and costs to optimize client budgets.
- Calculating employee contributions and developing strategies to meet client budgetary requirements.
- Preparing annual client service plans to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Collecting new client information to ensure accurate program implementation.
- Authoring correspondence, communication materials, and compliance notices as required.
- Negotiating rates and benefits with carriers to secure the best possible deals.
- Auditing client information, premium, and commission splits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Other duties as assigned to support the team's success.
Requirements:
- Health & Life License REQUIRED
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
- Assist the Producer to organize and meet meeting deadlines to ensure timely program implementation.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point to create reports, presentations, and other materials.
- Knowledge of employee benefits/health plan implementation and administration to ensure accurate program execution.
- Knowledge of, and practical experience in, regulatory issues such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, as well as various state and federal regulations specific to health insurance.
- Ability to negotiate rates and benefits with carriers to secure the best possible deals.
- Experience in SalesForce a Plus but not required.
