This role involves delivering personal financial services at designated military bases. Key responsibilities encompass a comprehensive range of personal financial counseling services for military personnel and their families. Services provided include educational support and counseling that may involve, but are not limited to, individual consultations, discussions with a commanding officer or other personnel, conducting informative sessions and presentations, or offering referral resources outside of counseling contexts. The position requires close collaboration with installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to ensure the program is effective and meets the specific needs of the installation.
  • Delivers personal financial counseling and management services directly to military personnel and their families.
  • Aids service members in formulating a financial plan for extended absences.
  • Creates and disseminates informative financial materials for service members and their families.
  • Organizes, promotes, and conducts a variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops, covering topics relevant to the military lifecycle, including but not limited to, arrival at first duty station, pre- and post-deployment, and personal and career events as outlined in DoDI.
  • Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
  • Possesses the ability to effectively utilize virtual counseling or other electronic communication methods, such as web-based platforms, secure online chat, or video conferencing approved by the customer.
  • Manages duty to warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) protocols.
  • Engages with leadership and participates in regular individual and group supervision, sharing insights regarding trends and issues at the assigned installations.
  • Participates in ongoing training, quality improvement committees, or other relevant contract activities as assigned.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

A Bachelor's degree is required.

Consideration may be given to candidates with an associate degree plus 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Candidates with a high school diploma plus 6 years of relevant experience may also be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Must be a U.S. citizen and possess fluent English language skills.

If required by the contract, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish may be necessary.

Willingness to work outside of standard office hours (e.g., weekends) may be required to meet business needs.

Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.

Must hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Must have accumulated over a thousand hours of financial counseling experience.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual compensation will be adjusted based on individual skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

This position may be eligible for short-term incentives as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
