This role entails delivering personal financial services at designated military facilities. Key responsibilities encompass a comprehensive range of personal financial counseling services aimed at military personnel and their families. These services include educational support and counseling that may involve, but are not limited to, individualized counseling sessions, consultations with leadership or other professionals, conducting informational briefings and presentations, or providing referral resources outside of counseling contexts. The position requires close collaboration with installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to ensure that the program is effectively addressing the needs of the installation.
  • Delivers personal financial counseling and management services directly to military personnel and their families.
  • Assists military members in creating a financial plan for extended absences.
  • Develops and distributes educational financial materials to service members and their families.
  • Organizes, promotes, and conducts a variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering topics relevant to the military lifecycle, including, but not limited to, arrival at the first duty station, pre- and post-deployment, and personal and career events.
  • Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
  • Possesses the capability to effectively utilize virtual counseling or other electronic communication methods, such as web-based platforms, secure online chat, or video-based communications, including secure video teleconferencing as authorized by the customer.
  • Manages duty to warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) protocols.
  • Engages with leadership and participates in regular individual and group supervision, sharing insights regarding trends and issues at the assigned installations.
  • Participates in ongoing training, quality improvement committees, or other contract-related activities as assigned.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

A Bachelor's degree is required.

Consideration may be given to applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Applicants with a high school diploma plus 6 years of relevant experience may also be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English.

If required by the contract, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish may be necessary.

May be required to work outside of standard office hours (e.g., weekends) to meet business needs.

Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.

Must hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Must have a minimum of one thousand hours of financial counseling experience.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual compensation will be adjusted based on individual skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.

This position may be eligible for short-term incentives as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
