Position Overview
All educators at Uncommon Schools are primarily responsible for executing our curriculum and ensuring student success.

We are in search of dedicated teachers who aspire to be exemplary educators, continuously enhancing their instructional methods through collaboration and professional development within their school community.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates for all teaching positions (both new and experienced) will demonstrate:

While prior teaching experience is not mandatory for new educators, strong candidates should exhibit a passion for working with K-12 students and preferably have experience in educational settings or urban communities.


Additional Qualifications for Experienced Educators:
  • A proven record of high achievement in the classroom.
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience in an urban public or charter school setting is preferred.
  • While a valid state certification and a Master's degree are advantageous, they are not required.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required prior to employment.
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher is necessary by the start of employment.
  • All Commonwealth charter teachers must possess an appropriate educator's license or complete required assessments within their first year.
