Join Our Team as a Middle School Math Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Middle School Math Teacher to join our team at Uncommon Schools. As a Middle School Math Teacher, you will play a critical role in helping our students develop a deep understanding and appreciation of mathematics.

About the Role

As a Middle School Math Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching mathematics to students in grades 5-8. You will work closely with your grade level team to develop academic goals and practice instructional strategies. You will also partner with students' families to ensure appropriate resources are available to support their child's learning needs.

Responsibilities
  • Teach mathematics to students in grades 5-8
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Partner with students' families to support student learning
  • Participate in weekly, school-wide meetings to cultivate community and model our core values
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • MA educator's license or ability to obtain within first year of employment
  • Experience working with students in urban schools and communities
  • Strong academic expertise in Mathematics
