Job Description
The Sparrow Health System is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon to join their team. As a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, you will be responsible for the treatment and surgical needs of patients in reconstructive surgery for consultation and restoration and repair of post-orthopedic flaps, wounds, burns, post-bariatric surgery, craniofacial repair of anomalies or traumatic reconstructive needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine and diagnose patients to identify an abnormality needing treatment either medically or surgically.
- Participate in the partnership between Sparrow Medical Group and Michigan Medicine Section as a Faculty member, devoting 20% of time to teaching and research.
- Engage in the education and mentorship of residents and fellows during their clinical activities and didactic teaching conferences within the department.
- Present at major conferences of Plastic Surgery, as required.
Essential Duties:
- Devote time, attention, and energy to providing professional medical services that are representative of the highest quality, compassionate medical care to Hospital's patients.
- Report to Section Chief Michigan Medical Plastic Surgery and Vice President Sparrow Medical Group (SMG) or designee.
- Be available not less than the required number of hours per week for patient contact time, call coverage, and other responsibilities as assigned by Vice President SMG or designee or SMG Board.
- Utilize and conform to the billing, collection, and accounting systems and practices maintained by Hospital and Sparrow Health System and as designated by the SMG Board.
Requirements:
- Board Eligible/Certified in Plastic Surgery.
- Fellowship trained in Plastic Surgery.
- Medical Licenses in the State of Michigan.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience of 3-5 years in Plastic Surgery after Graduation from an approved accredited Fellowship program in Plastic Surgery.

Adjunct faculty positions may also be available to qualified applicants.
